Lost in the middle of nowhere, at the end of untagged paths, the surf spots are still very wild. At first sight, they seem difficult to reach. This is where your surf camp will make life easier with 4x4s used to venturing on stony paths and difficult to borrow! On arrival, you will not be disappointed with the trip with a translucent water that is around twenty degrees. One of the peculiarities of the island: its very windy coast which also makes it a popular spot for kite-surfers. They will be a good indicator of the conditions of the spot because who says kitesurf says plan of water of bad quality for the surfers!
The island catches all types of swell - big, small, medium and all directions - and its cut coast allows surfers to find a suitable spot whatever the conditions: if a spot does not work because of the wind, it there will always be a fallback spot available somewhere! The "North Shore" in particular, with its circular shape and varied backgrounds, offers an impressive number of waves of quality for only a few kilometers. Some of the best known surf spots include Cotillo, Flag Beach, Derecha de los Alemanes, Bubble, Majanicho, Lobos, Acid. Be careful, however, prefer morning sessions because the wind rises especially in the afternoon. For a more sheltered option, prefer the East Coast and its long beaches suitable for novice and intermediate surfers.
